I believe they are from 2004 but I am not entirely sure. They have reach adjustment and use a radial master cylinder. They also allow the lever to "pop out" of the piston and swing forward in case of a crash without ripping the master cylinder apart. I have not seen any other Hope levers like these but they seem to work very well.

trek session 88 DH w/out shock is 3238 grams = 7.13856805 pounds http://www.sicklines.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/10514 DHX 5 with 500lb spring 8.75 x 2.75 is 925 grams = 2.03927593 pounds http://www.sicklines.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/10517 total is 4163 grams = 9.17784397 pounds. there is no way you can get a session 88 to 7lbs with a shock.

Its a good thing they recognized clots as quickly as they did. I have a friend on my rugby team that lost most of his calf muscle and part of his quad because the doctors didn't get to the clots quick enough. Hope hes back out pinning it soon!

"...put together this quick web short about the superior stopping power of Magura brakes." I don'r really see how this video showed that Magura brakes are anything special. It showed some nice riding and some cool shots, but nothing the would show the brakes are superior. Great video, but those probably could have been almost any decent brakes and it would have looked the same.

we should ride DH at MS this summer, depending if we're around the same level. I've ridden there about 5 times, and want to start racing, but am an intermediate rider in terms of speed. Anyway, let me know if you're interested
